Wall Decorations
I remember reading on Apartment Therapy a while back about these felt wall tiles. They would be perfect for apartment dwellers -- not only do they act as a sound barrier, but it allows people to add a little color to their walls and personality to their homes without conflicting with apartment regulations. I've been waiting, since I myself and am an apartment dweller in need, for Hive to release these for the masses. So until then, here's something pretty to look at with anticipation

| Classical Symmetry Prints by Crate&Barrel |
I remember sifting through a Crate & Barrel catalogue and stopped on this stunning photo. I loved the symmetry, the geometric patterns. It was bright and colorful and definitely unique. The only downside is if you don't have $369 lying around, this photo will remain perfect inside the catalogue instead of adorning your walls. So with a little time and a little money, you can create this look in your home while saving a couple hundred dollars.
I like the idea of using actual fabric to create a little more texture to the walls, with that said here's what you'll need to create this look:
1. Frames -- I recommend ikea's Tyglosa frames.
2. Fabric -- to keep the same theme, you'll need to find geometric prints at a local fabric store or online. I recommend starting your search at Joann's.
3. Supplies -- Scissors (to cut fabric), Glue or staple gun (to adhere fabric to frame), nails (to hang the frames).
Note: Before you start your fabric search note the width and length of your frame.Your fabric pieces should be at least one inch bigger than the frame so that it wraps fully around the frame. If you choose to use glue, be sure to get one that will adhere to fabric, I recommend Sobo.

Accent Tables: Practical yet stylish
I have recently moved into a new apartment and I must say one of the best things about a new home is having a new, blank canvas to work with. The hardest part about decorating is not about finding furniture, but about choosing which piece works for your home. You want a piece that blends well with your other furniture, but is a statement piece that says something about you. Right now I need accent tables! So with that in mind, I will post some of the awesome tables I've found.
